Ad-hoc Visitors

A quicker way of entering in a visitor for someone with the Reception role is to click on the "Ad-hoc Visit" button. This brings up a pre-populated form:

The date and time will be populated (but still editable), and they can also enter in the reason to visit, along with the name and optional other details of the visitor. The visitor's ID number should be entered (or scanned from their identification card using a barcode scanner), as this allows the receptionist to use the Scan Visitor ID button to quickly locate the visitor so they can be marked as arriving or leaving.

For an ad-hoc visit, if they try to select a location that requires pre-approval to visit, then the ad-hoc visit will be denied with an error. Instead they should use the Request button to put in a request that will need to be approved before they can be allowed in.
