Tips For Entering Visitors

You should enter in the visitor's ID first. If they have previously visited, then their information will be filled out automatically from the database. You can access the list of unique visitors who have previous visited the premises in the Lists > Visitors.

Because AssetChief has built-in webcam support, when entering the visitor you will see a Photo / Snapshot area where you can grab a snapshot of the visitor using a webcam. Keep in mind that you will need to make sure you are using an HTTPS site for AssetChief, and have a properly configured webcam, for this to work. You may also have to authorize Chrome or another browser to let the website use the web cam.

If you make a mistake when entering a visitor, you can still edit the visitor after the fact. To do this, just go to the visitor record (which may require going to the Visitor request record first, then clicking the Visitor underneath that).

There you can click the "Update" button, and modify the values for the visitor, or take another picture.
