Most assets have tasks that need to be carried out on them on a regular basis. For example maintenance inspections, cleaning, painting and so on. This is managed in the Scheduled Work area under the asset.
The "Scheduled Work" area is a list of jobs that will be carried out on a regular basis. Each entry represents a single job. The parameters for the scheduled work define how often the job will occur.
The Title is the text that will be used in the work order that the scheduled job creates.
Next Run defines the date that you want the job to run next - or if it's a new job, the first time you want it to run.
"Then Every" and "Period" define the frequency the job will run. For example Then Every 3 Months will run the job every 3 months from "Next Run".
Under that are preferences for when it will run. These are optional. You can specify that you want it to always run on a Monday, for example, and it will do its best to make sure the schedule occurs only on Mondays.
Then there's an option called "Reschedule After Complete?". If this is true, then it will only schedule the next occurrence AFTER the job is complete. If it's set to No, then it will schedule it from the time the request was entered, not from when the job was complete.
The "Advance Notice (Days)" lets you specify how many days ahead of time the job will be posted - if you need to give them time to complete the work.
Once the scheduled work is created, you will be able to see a history of work complete underneath it in the History section.
